About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Materiality Designer to join our team at Contechs. As a Materiality Designer, you will play a key role in delivering our clients' new global strategy, focusing on sustainability-rich reimagination of modern luxury, unique customer experiences, and positive societal impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop sustainable and responsible colour and materials content for our luxury brands.
  • Create and realise innovative proof of concepts and material solutions for interior and exterior applications.
  • Research trends, consumer insights, and competitor benchmarking to inform material strategies.
  • Develop new colours and materials, create mood boards, and realise material concepts.
  • Design, develop, and implement colour and material design proposals for concepts and design vision properties.
  • Support interior and exterior teams with asset creation.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with external suppliers.
  • Translate material concepts from 2D to 3D product development.
  • Share best practices with the team and contribute to creative problem-solving.
Requirements
  • Relevant design or arts degree.
  • Design software competency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Good understanding of materials and colour, the design industry, and luxury brands.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proven creative presentation skills and ability to use internet resources for research purposes.
  • Passion for colour and material technology and design.
  • Proven ability to plan and undertake projects to a deadline.
