The role encompasses participation in outpatient consultations, training in endoscopic procedures, providing ward support, and engaging in unselected general medical on-call duties.
Training and DevelopmentThe selected candidate will benefit from a tailored flexible schedule designed to accommodate their educational requirements while accessing a wealth of learning opportunities.
Team StructureThe clinical fellow will integrate into a collaborative team comprising 2 Registrars, 2 Specialty Trainees, and 3 Foundation Year doctors, contributing to the Gastroenterology Team.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in supervised Consultant-led outpatient consultations for both new and returning patients.
- Participate in the general medicine on-call rota, including after-hours responsibilities.
- Contribute to educational activities for both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.

Leadership and DevelopmentContribute to leadership initiatives and development under the guidance of the Lead Clinician and Associate Medical Director, aligning with the Trust's strategic objectives.
Clinical GovernanceAdhere to the Trust's framework for Clinical Governance and Risk, which includes the formulation of clinical policies and compliance with established protocols and financial procedures.
QualificationsClinical training or experience equivalent to Specialty Trainees is required, along with experience in Gastroenterology and General Medical conditions. The ability to impart clinical skills to trainees and multidisciplinary teams is essential.
