About the Role
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is seeking a skilled professional to join our Front Counters team as a Multi-Site Police Contact Officer. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional front counter service to the public and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and effective front counter service to members of the public, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve enquiries.
- Travel to multiple locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to provide cover at front counter locations, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Utilize face-to-face contact, telephone call backs, and electronic systems to gather information and resolve enquiries.
- Work in a busy customer/public service environment, maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy at all times.
- Manage high volumes of varied documentation, utilizing paper-based and electronic clerical skills to ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and tact, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Operate Windows-based Microsoft software and IT equipment with confidence, utilizing technology to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- Hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle with business insurance.
- Have a minimum of QCF Level 2 or comparable work experience.
- Proven experience working in a busy customer/public service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and locations.
