Automation Process Specialist

A leading manufacturer of bespoke precision components for the aerospace industry is seeking a Process Engineer to drive innovation and improvement in their automation department. Working closely with the Manufacturing and Automation engineering teams, the Process Engineer will be responsible for identifying and leading projects around Continuous Improvement, Health & Safety, Productivity, Scrap reduction, and Automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve daily automation operational metrics within the business.
- Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing practices to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with the Automation team to design, develop, and implement automation solutions, including robot programming and additive manufacturing.
- Support the development of fixtures and tooling using CAD software to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, including CAPEX, SWPs, and Training Matrixes.
The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial robot programming, be able to evaluate hardware designs, and prioritize Health & Safety in a manufacturing environment.
