The Stock Control Lead will work closely with a range of stakeholders from Operational and Clinical teams to suppliers and other Healthshare Group sites. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Inventory Management: Confirm stock levels are adequate for next two weeks of clinical activity.
  2. Supply Chain Coordination: Liaise with Clinical Diagnostics Service Manager, Theatre Manager, Outpatients Manager, and Head of Operations each week to ascertain all consumables for the clinic are ordered.
  3. Stock Control Management: Manage stock control of consumables, including current lines and adding new lines to the spreadsheet with costings, product codes, etc.
  4. Medicine Inventory Management: Manage stock control of medicines, including current lines and adding new lines to the spreadsheet with costings, product codes, etc.
  5. Clinical Standards: Ensure the area is in line with National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness.
  6. Inventory Audits: Conduct stock checks every 6 months, highlighting expiry dates, unused products, damaged stock, and processing these accordingly.
  7. Reporting and Analysis: Provide meaningful data on consumables used, costs, savings, etc., for each service line in a monthly review presented to the senior leadership team.
  8. Asset Management: Conduct annual asset register audits.
  9. Equipment Management: Ensure all new equipment is asset tagged and logged appropriately.
  10. Financial Management: Involved with invoicing queries with the Management team and finance.
  11. Cost Optimization: Explore cost options for acquiring new equipment and present findings to the Executive Director.
  12. Cost Effectiveness: Ensure activities are cost-effective.
  13. Inter-Site Coordination: Liaise with other sites (Riverside Clinic) for stock transfers or combining large orders.
  14. Problem Resolution: Take responsibility for problem investigation and resolution.
  15. Communication: Attend daily briefings and ensure effective communications with the Operations Team.
  16. Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform any other tasks in line with the role as directed by the line manager.
