Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team at Accountability Recruitment. As a Bookkeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of duties including:
- Sales Ledger Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of sales transactions, including invoicing and credit control.
- Purchase Ledger Management: Managing purchase transactions, including receipts and payments.
- Bank Reconciliations: Reconciling company bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- VAT Returns: Preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC.
- CIS Returns: Preparing and submitting CIS returns to HMRC.
- Administrative Support: Providing administrative support to the accounting team, including filing, database management, and preparing documents for jobs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Knowledge of Sage accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Working Hours:
We are looking for someone to work circa 16-24 hours per week, with flexibility regarding how these hours are spread. The company is open to hybrid working arrangements.
