About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Designer to join our team at Brandon James Ltd, a leading construction consultancy in the North West. As a Senior Principal Designer, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of design risk management across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of Principal Designer duties across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and promoting health and safety throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Provide expert advice on CDM 2015 regulations to clients and project teams, conducting design risk assessments and ensuring effective hazard elimination.
  • Prepare and review pre-construction information and construction phase plans, managing health and safety compliance throughout the design and construction process.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, mentoring and supporting junior team members.
Requirements
  • Degree in a construction-related field, such as architecture, engineering, or construction management.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a strong understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body, such as RICS, CIOB, or APS, showcasing your expertise and commitment to the industry.
  • Extensive experience as a Principal Designer in the construction industry, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and design teams.
