Position Overview

Wise Employment is in search of a skilled Senior Systems Architect to join our dynamic team for a prominent client in the engineering sector. This role offers a competitive salary up to £45k, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The position is full-time, permanent, and primarily site-based, operating Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will hold Design Authority for the electrical and auxiliary systems of manufactured products. Responsibilities will include the installation, integration, and testing of electronic control systems, as well as environmental monitoring instruments.

The role encompasses eight principal areas of responsibility:

  • Design
  • Manufacturing
  • Materials and Supply Chain Management
  • Setup and Configuration
  • Software Development
  • Installation
  • Testing
  • Data Management

You will be primarily accountable for:

  • Manufacturing cable assemblies, including internal assembly
  • Designing electrical systems
  • Developing new prototype systems
  • Integrating new instruments and enhancements
  • Collecting and storing data
  • Installing and assembling electrical, electronic, and communication systems

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of HNC in Electronic Engineering
  • At least five years of experience in electrical system design and integration
  • Proficiency in cable assembly, installation, and configuration of computer systems
  • Experience in data management
  • Familiarity with serial communication protocols
  • Experience with marine systems and small vessel operations is a plus

This position may require occasional travel within the UK and potentially abroad, necessitating flexibility in working hours to meet business needs. Short trips (5-10 days) may be required to support operational requirements.
