Job Description

Job Title: Construction Estimator Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to project teams on contractual and commercial issues arising from contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to team members on contractual and legal implications of potential project strategies and decisions.
  • Manage contractual risks and opportunities, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and contract documents, ensuring that they are compliant with company policies and procedures.
  • Administer contracts in line with contract requirements and policies, including applications for payment, change events, and final account preparation.
  • Liaise with and support other functions, including Finance and Project Controls.
  • Provide support to project managers for their assigned contracts and manage interactions and claims with project teams and other project contributors.
  • Monitor contract performance and make management aware of any upcoming commercial or contractual issues or deadlines.
  • Manage and be accountable for a small team delivering contract and commercial management services, including providing guidance and support to more junior team members.

Requirements:

  • A BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Significant QS career background in the construction industry, either having worked for construction consultancies or contractors.
  • Solid experience of delivering infrastructure projects, such as Energy, Nuclear, Utilities, Bridges, Highways, and/or Rail.
  • Notable levels of contract management experience.
