We are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to collaborate with a Local Authority in Lancashire on a 3-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension. The ideal candidate will have experience in building design and delivery, as well as project management and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement building refurbishment plans, including extensions, window replacements, roofing, and general refurbishments, in accordance with current guidelines and regulations.
  • Lead medium-sized building-related projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality expectations are met.
  • Support the Programme Manager in delivering LCC Capital projects for condition-led schemes and external clients.
  • Manage project delivery, considering risks, issues, and planning, including forecasting budget requirements and project status reports.
  • Establish effective liaison with other services within LCC and across disciplines within the Building Surveying Team and wider Design and Construction Service.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, plus several years of experience in a similar role, or significant vocational experience at a demonstrably professional level.
  • Proven track record in building design and delivery using AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of building refurbishments, including extensions, window replacements, roofing, and general refurbishments, in accordance with current guidelines and regulations.

  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
