Job Title: Transport Planner

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Edwards & Pearce Limited. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the movement of goods and materials to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate transportation routes and schedules to meet customer requirements and optimize operational performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers to ensure excellent operational performance.
  • Liaise closely with the Procurement team to ensure the best and most cost-effective haulage resource for service delivery.
  • Monitor and address operational issues, such as contaminations, wet-loads, and spillages, in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with drivers and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years' experience in road haulage planning (bulk) is essential.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and tools, with the ability to learn new software and technologies.
