Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Materials Controller to join our team at Velocity Recruitment. As a Materials Controller, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials for multiple projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the ordering, delivery, and storage of materials for multiple residential projects.
  • Monitor stock levels and forecast material requirements to prevent delays.
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of material usage and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during material handling and storage.
  • Assist in the preparation of material schedules and reports.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, site managers, and procurement teams to optimise material management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Materials Controller in the residential construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and supply chain management.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using material management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid UK driving license and the ability to travel to various sites in East London.
