The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in consultant firms, developers, or main contractors working on residential or commercial projects.
  • Good working knowledge of Pre and Post Contract Works.
  • Responsibility for assisting in the management of tender estimates and preparing Interim Certificates for Contractors.
The Opportunity

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the management of tender estimates, including checking and monitoring the preparation of Bills of Quantities.
  • Establishing net unit rates and cost estimates.
  • Preparing enquiries for material, labour, and plant quotations.
  • Conducting site visits, site valuations, and reports.
  • Liaising with external consultants.
  • Coordinating inter-departmental activities.
  • Reviewing measurement of quantities and calculation.
  • Preparing total cost summaries and reports.
  • Supervising the compilation of tender documents and submission of tenders.

You will also be responsible for preparing Interim Certificates for Contractors, including:

  • Assisting in cost control of Preliminary Budget throughout project phases.
  • Monitoring the performance of Consultant Quantity Surveyors.
  • Assessing tender estimates of Consultant Quantity Surveyors.
  • Assessing and reporting on Tenderers' quotations.
  • Preparing the department's estimated Budget for works specified.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Quantity Surveying or Building Technology.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
