Job Title: Software Developer

We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for developing software solutions to perform PRT pension administration calculations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop software solutions using C# and other technologies such as Java, C++, Python, VBA, and shell scripts.
  • Work closely with senior actuaries to understand pension methodology and translate it into a feature-driven product.
  • Contribute to and maintain code against specification, ensuring compatibility with existing functionality.
  • Engage in peer code reviews and work collaboratively with the product team to improve the code base.
  • Deliver full unit test coverage of code and drive business testing.
Requirements:
  • Experience in building financial engineering systems using bespoke software solutions.
  • C# software development experience and coding skills, with knowledge of open-source libraries.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with XLW or xlWings.
  • Knowledge of software development in analytical and model risk scenarios.
  • Ability to address and use initiative to deliver solutions to technical and business problems.
