Apprentice Operations Manager

A well-established engineering company, Swift Temps Ltd, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their senior leadership team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence and promoting cultural engagement.

1. Leadership and Team Management: Possess strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate the production team to achieve exceptional results.
2. Process Improvement: Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean, and Six Sigma, to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
3. Quality and Compliance: Experience in working to ISO standards and promoting cultural engagement to ensure that they are continually met.
4. Problem-Solving and Preventative Strategies: Have a problem-solving mindset to anticipate and prevent problems, and implement effective strategies to mitigate risks.
5. ERP System Management: Familiarity with ERP systems to manage a shop floor environment and optimize production processes.
6. Communication and Collaboration: Be an effective communicator and demonstrate a proactive approach throughout all levels of the business, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive overall shop floor performance.

2. Engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC in Mechanical Engineering
3. IOSH qualification in Managing Safely
4. Formal Six Sigma qualifications (Green/Black belt)
