About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Stockton. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing a high standard of support to both the children in the class and the class teacher.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in supporting teaching & learning in schools, experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment, and a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the class teacher in planning, preparing and delivering lessons
  • Assist with the supervision of children during lessons and breaks
  • Help to identify children who may require extra support and work with the class teacher to develop strategies to support them
  • Be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in supporting teaching & learning in schools
  • Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment
  • Ability to work with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment
  • Genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
