Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking skilled Vehicle Technicians to join a leading Commercial dealership. We are looking for candidates with experience in PCV, HGV, or LCV fitting, although training will be provided for those with limited exposure to specific vehicle types.
We welcome applicants from related fields, particularly those with a background in the truck or haulage industries within an engineering context. Candidates with experience as Technicians or Mechanics in Commercial, HGV, PSV, or LGV sectors are encouraged to apply.
We offer a variety of shifts, and we invite Level 3 qualified individuals with a solid track record as Mechanics to reach out. Time-served technicians are also considered.
In addition to a competitive base salary, our client provides a range of benefits, including life insurance, enhanced pension schemes, annual pay increases, and 33 days of holiday.
The ideal candidate will be an apprentice-trained, fully qualified Technician with experience working on various LGV or HGV vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair, and installation.
- Set up and operate machine tools and equipment.
- Assist workshop team members, including Apprentice Technicians, as needed.
- Accurately log time spent on jobs and related details.
- Utilize skills and perform additional tasks as required by the Workshop Supervisor to enhance workshop efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Level 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanics City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a qualified Fitter, Mechanic, or Engineer.
- Possession of personal tools.
