About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Team Leader to join our team at Brainkind. As a Clinical Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of high standards of holistic care for an identified group of service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing team in developing the quality of nursing care, acting as a source of support and advice to colleagues and relatives.
  • Take responsibility for a service user group, consulting and liaising with the multi-disciplinary team, service users, family/carers over their care.
  • Assess the impact of policy implementation on care delivery.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care using evidence-based guidelines.
  • Ensure all clinical staff (including self) receive formal documented supervision/clinical supervision in line with Brainkind professional and statutory requirements.
  • Identify training needs and support staff in their development.
  • Provide an educational role to patients, carers, families, and colleagues in an environment that facilitates learning.
About You
  • Registered Nurse or degree-level qualification.
  • Experience in specialist palliative or neurological care depending on service requirement.
  • Proven skills in leading, building, and influencing in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector.
  • Demonstrable experience of practicing in a self-directed and highly motivated way.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate difficult messages to service users and their families.
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Able to effectively manage change and manage performance.
  • An ability to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting.
