Position Overview

Are you eager to be part of a dedicated team that provides vital treatments, where each day presents unique challenges?

Do you have a passion for delivering holistic and compassionate care on an individual basis?

Within our Therapeutic Apheresis Services (TAS) team, we administer life-saving procedures such as Plasma Exchange, Red Cell Exchange, Stem Cell Harvest, and CAR-T Cell Harvest to patients across various age groups.

Our operations span 8 regions nationwide, addressing a wide range of conditions including Sickle Cell Disorder, Haematological Oncology, Renal, and Neurological Disorders. Our team is highly skilled, providing expert care to a diverse patient demographic.

No previous experience in Apheresis is required. We offer a comprehensive 12-week training program that includes both educational and practical components.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Apheresis Nurse, you will work closely with the Lead Nurse to provide clinical care to patients and donors. In a supportive team environment, you will take charge of individual patient care, with opportunities to develop your leadership, management, and clinical expertise. Your primary duties will include:

  • Executing therapeutic apheresis procedures utilizing advanced medical technology.
  • Delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and donors in collaboration with your team.
  • Participating in international studies, local audits, and research initiatives to improve clinical practices.
  • Providing expert and compassionate apheresis treatments within our TAS Unit and assisting neighboring healthcare facilities.
  • Serving as Lead Nurse when necessary to ensure effective unit leadership.
  • Engaging in a 24-hour on-call rotation for emergency treatments.

Required Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration (RN1 or RNA) and post-registration experience
  • Degree in a clinical area or equivalent post-registration experience/qualification
  • Recent post-registration educational/learning evidence
  • Awareness of current nursing issues
  • Teaching/assessment qualification or equivalent experience
  • Continuous professional development track record
  • Valid driver's license and access to a car for outreach services

Experience Requirements

  • Proven track record in identifying clinical and service improvement areas
