About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Porter to join our team at Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the movement of patients, staff, and equipment throughout the hospital, using beds, trolleys, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids.
- Collect and transport pathology samples, medical supplies, and other materials as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage areas, corridors, and other public spaces.
- Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Support clinical staff with tasks such as delivering equipment, supplies, and documents.
- Follow health and safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as required to support the efficient operation of the hospital.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
