About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Engineer to lead our Mechanical team, ensuring high-quality design, specification, and management of mechanical services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the Mechanical engineering team, including resource planning and workload management.
  • Contribute to office resource planning and monitor project profiles to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop schemes using CAD, produce budget costs, detailed specifications, analyze tenders, and supervise installations.
  • Design and manage various mechanical services projects, producing budget estimates, drawings, and tender documentation.
  • Deliver mechanical projects in accordance with client briefs and professional standards.
  • Act as the single point of contact on specific engineering issues across clients.
  • Promote and manage the efficient delivery of mechanical services installations and energy management services.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to business plan objectives and targets.
  • This role requires frequent travel to other offices and sites as needed.
  • Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post.
  • Inspire a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring high-quality products and services.
  • Demonstrate personal commitment to the Norse Group's CSR strategy.

Requirements:

  • Professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers and working towards Chartered status.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role.
  • HNC/HND in a Mechanical Engineering related discipline.
  • Current site card holder or prepared to attain one immediately.
  • Familiarity with construction, health and safety legislation, and asbestos-related risks.
