About the Role

As an Assistant Culinary Leader, you will collaborate closely with the Head Chef to design and implement nutritious, flavorful, and well-balanced menus tailored to our residents' preferences. Essential Qualifications

  • A warm and personable demeanor with a genuine interest in resident wellbeing
  • Relevant culinary qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of nutrition
  • Experience with fresh, seasonal ingredients and traditional English cuisine
  • Ability to create a welcoming atmosphere within our community
  • Confidence in engaging with residents to craft appetizing and nutritious menus
  • Knowledge of HACCP; familiarity with IDDSI is advantageous, but training will be provided

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Assist in menu development and planning
  • Utilize fresh produce to prepare high-quality, wholesome dishes
  • Foster a warm, efficient, and enjoyable kitchen environment
  • Adhere to budgetary constraints
  • Conduct regular audits and manage stock control
