Anatomical Pathology Specialist

At Vox Network Consultants, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Qualified Anatomical Pathology Technician. This role is a critical part of our operations, and we require someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist in the delivery of high-quality operational services in line with our strategic ambitions and customer-focused services at Greenwich Public Mortuary (GPM).
• Act in accordance with the Human Tissue Act 2004 and other relevant legislation, guiding principles, and codes of practice.
• Maintain sterile and hygienic conditions throughout the building, including cleaning tools and equipment.
• Participate in post-mortems, stock control, and record-keeping.
• Implement visual inspections of plant and equipment to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Undertake duties related to the reception, identification, storage, and release of bodies.
• Deal with members of the public in a sympathetic and caring manner.
• Advise, liaise, and cooperate with various stakeholders, including officers, local authorities, police, coroner's officers, pathologists, and undertakers.
• Bring minor or emergency repairs to the attention of the Mortuary Manager and take necessary action to prevent injury.

• RSPH Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology or significant experience post-level 3 qualification in an autopsy active hospital/public mortuary.
• Motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well in a team environment.
• Previous local authority experience is desirable.
