Risk Division Software Engineer Vice President Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Division Software Engineer Vice President to join our team. As a key member of our Risk Engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale risk management systems, working closely with our risk management teams to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop risk management systems using cutting-edge technologies such as Scala, Java, and Python.
  • Collaborate with risk management teams to identify and prioritize risk management initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain risk management tools and platforms, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and meet business requirements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement risk management processes and procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience working in a risk technology team in another bank or financial institution, with experience in market risk technology a plus.
  • Experience with major relational/object databases and software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design, and core programming concepts.
  • Comfortable working with multiple languages and technologies, including Scala, Java, Python, Spark, Linux, and shell scripting.
  • Experience in working with process scheduling platforms like Apache Airflow and knowledge of SDLC and experience in working through the entire life cycle of the project from start to end.
