Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at Recruit North Recruitment as an Executive Director. This is a unique opportunity to work with a well-established company in West Cumbria, with a portfolio of small businesses across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee the finance function, including cash management, budgeting, financial performance, and accounting staff management.
  • Administrative Responsibilities: Manage human resources, including staff management, contract issuance, and record-keeping. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including GDPR and AML regulations.
  • Business Operations: Oversee the IT function, manage the Business Risk Register, and act as Company Secretary.
  • Strategic Planning: Play an active role as a member of the Board in the running of the company, contributing to strategic decision-making and business development.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a sound financial background and experience in overseeing finance and administrative functions in a small but busy company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll, auto-enrolment requirements, and insurance renewals. Consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate experience in managing the areas listed above, and we are willing to consider either full or part-time applications.

Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of around £75,000 (or pro rata if part-time). We offer a supportive and dynamic work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
