About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in a bank position. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services to Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust and its affiliated organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the provision of a comprehensive pharmaceutical service to Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust and its affiliated organizations.
  • Undertake clinical pharmacy duties to delegated wards, advising junior and senior medical staff and nurses on effective and safe prescribing and administration of medicines.
  • Provide training and support to undergraduate, pre-registration pharmacists, and less experienced pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other ward staff.
  • Undertake risk assessments and implement risk-reducing measures, reviewing and updating safe systems of work on a regular basis.
  • Post-holders will be required to undertake weekend, bank holidays, and on-call work on a rota basis.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • MPharm or equivalent academic qualification.
    • Completed Pre-Registration year leading to Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
    • Current membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Desirable:
    • Hospital pharmacy experience.
