We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Community Mental Health Team in South Leicester. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist clinical psychology assessment and therapy services to patients with severe mental health difficulties.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide highly specialist clinical psychology assessment and therapy services to patients with severe mental health difficulties.
- Offer advice and consultation on patient care to non-psychologist colleagues.
- Deliver psychological interventions, working autonomously within professional guidelines and Trust policies.
- Participate fully in multidisciplinary clinical teams, often leading them, in providing a service to patients.
- Deploy knowledge and skills in general aspects of clinical psychology, including assessment and treatment of patients who are legally detained as mentally ill.
- Conduct projects, working independently, with only general briefings and working directly to senior managers.
Requirements:
- Experience in clinical psychology, including assessment and treatment of patients with severe mental health difficulties.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and consultation skills.
- Knowledge of professional guidelines and Trust policies.
- Ability to conduct projects and work independently.
