We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Large Language Model (LLM) Engineer to join our fully remote international team. As an LLM Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in training and fine-tuning open-source LLMs, leveraging the latest AI models to create immersive and high-quality chat experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • LLM Training and Fine-Tuning: You'll be responsible for training open-source LLMs, such as Llama and Mistral, and fine-tuning them for optimal performance in chat applications.
  • Dataset Building and Management: You'll build, curate, and manage datasets to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of our LLMs, leveraging models like GPT-4 to enhance smaller LLMs.
  • Model Deployment: You'll help deploy our LLMs at scale using tools like Hugging Face's Text Generation Inference (TGI), ensuring seamless integration with our infrastructure.
  • Collaboration and Communication: You'll work closely with our remote team, utilizing asynchronous communication tools like Slack and video meetings to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Technical Requirements
  • LLMs and Frameworks: You'll work with Llama 3, Mistral, Axolotl, HF Transformers, PyTorch, and NumPy.
  • Infrastructure: You'll be familiar with Linux, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, and Cloud GPU Providers.
  • Inference: You'll use Hugging Face TGI for inference tasks.
Requirements
  • Experience: You'll need at least 1 year of experience training open-source LLMs.
  • Technical Skills: You'll require a strong understanding of fine-tuning techniques (SFT, LoRA/qLoRA, RLHF), Python 3.x skills, and experience with typing and data validation (Pydantic).
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with HF Transformers, PyTorch, and building/manage datasets is a plus. Experience with conversational AI models, NSFW content, or Axolotl is also desirable.
