Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Engineer Leader to join our team at Stagecoach Guildford. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers who maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles, as well as managing plant and buildings.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to develop their leadership skills and take on a key role within our depot. As a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our fleet of 65 buses is presented to the high standards that our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles
  • Manage plant and buildings to ensure efficient operations
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Experience in a related field, such as the truck, light commercial, or rail industriesProven leadership skills and experience in managing teamsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
