Radiotherapy Booking Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Radiotherapy Booking Clerk to join our team at Velindre Cancer Centre. As a key member of our scheduling team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our radiotherapy services.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule patients for radiotherapy and other services, ensuring that all relevant information is complete and accurate.
- Liaise with patients to provide them with a choice of available appointments using our computerized booking system.
- Assist with compiling and analyzing waiting list data to optimize scheduling efficiency.
- Help organize various departmental tasks and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Qualified to GCSE level in English Language and Maths or equivalent.
- NVQ3 or equivalent experience.
- Excellent keyboard skills, diplomacy, and good telephone manner.
- Ability to work as a team member and use own initiative for problem-solving.
- ECDL certification.
- Experience of working in a hospital environment, dealing with the public, and using patient management systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Project Package and knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel).
