About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic Integrated Therapy Team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, with a focus on trauma and orthopaedics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high standard of occupational therapy services in elective and trauma orthopaedics.
  • Manage a defined complex caseload, using evidence-based, client-centered principles to assess, plan, and evaluate occupational therapy interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with HCPC, CQC, and Trust clinical and quality standards.
  • Supervise and assist in the development of junior occupational therapists, non-qualified staff, and students on placement.
  • Undertake audit of clinical practice and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements
  • BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Postgraduate training relevant to trauma and orthopaedics.
  • Completion of the preceptorship program or equivalent.
  • OT student placement practice qualification.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Membership of a professional body.
  • Member of a special interest group.
  • Postgraduate modules relevant to trauma and orthopaedics, leadership, and service improvement.
  • Information technology and computer literacy.
  • Student educator course.
