About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to work alongside the operational Service Manager to implement, develop and lead our new Birmingham MHSTs (Wave 12).

This is a key leadership role that will involve leading a team delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and the community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people, and collaborating with other health and care providers to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of professionals delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people
  • Collaborate with other health and care providers to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Work closely with the operational Service Manager to implement and develop the new Birmingham MHSTs (Wave 12)
Requirements
  • Core Professional Mental Health Qualification (nursing, psychology), or equivalent
  • Postgraduate training in CBT or willingness to undertake
  • Supervisory qualification, or willingness to complete Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision
  • At least 3 years experience of working in a relevant children and young people's community setting
  • Experience relating to mental health and emotional wellbeing needs of CYP
  • Experience of delivering individual and/or group clinical supervision
  • Experience of safeguarding CYP at a senior level
  • Experience within a senior clinical role in CYPF services
  • Experience of multi-agency and partnership working
  • Experience of teaching, training and/or practice development

  • Due to the nature of the role, there is a need to travel to individual schools, which will require a driving license and access to a vehicle (for individuals who cannot drive due to a disability, we can consider accessibility options provided via Access to Work etc).
