Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of approximately 200 residential units.
  • Address resident inquiries and provide timely updates.
  • Conduct regular tenancy assessments within residents' homes.
  • Handle complaints in accordance with established protocols.
  • Offer guidance to residents and connect them with relevant external agencies as needed.
  • Oversee the tenancy termination process.
  • Lead initiatives addressing anti-social behavior within the portfolio, including legal proceedings and collaboration with partner organizations to achieve resolutions.
  • Represent the organization at multi-agency discussions.
  • Respond to inquiries from shared owners and leaseholders, coordinating with other departments for effective resolutions.
  • Facilitate necessary resident consultations.
  • Process applications from prospective tenants, internal transfers, and mutual exchanges.
  • Conduct follow-up support visits post-signup, including settling-in and routine assessments.
  • Provide general housing advice and assistance to applicants regarding their options.
  • Manage cases of abandoned tenancies, unauthorized occupants, and squatters.
  • Monitor and address instances of rent arrears, establishing manageable repayment plans and ensuring compliance.
  • Foster strong relationships with residents and the local community.
  • Collaborate with agencies and charities to offer support services to residents.
  • Ensure properties are maintained in optimal condition by identifying, reporting, and overseeing necessary repairs.
  • Take accountability for the timely and effective delivery of repairs, ensuring resident satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in communal areas.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a comparable role, demonstrating exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal. They should exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently. The ability to adapt to shifting deadlines and manage pressure is crucial. Candidates must be decisive, accountable for their work, and committed to seeing tasks through to completion. A solution-oriented mindset with robust negotiation skills is essential for successfully resolving complex issues.
