Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join our client's team in Coventry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company's inventory levels, ensuring accurate records, and processing returns in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock.
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
  • Process and dispatch all returns in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with third-party hauliers.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records.
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures.
  • Liaise with customers and engineers.
  • Prepare analysis on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
  • Monitor budgets and process invoices/credit notes.

Requirements:

  • A keen understanding of stock management and logistics processes.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in IT, ideally a good knowledge of Excel and SAP.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to challenging and investigating discrepancies.
  • Excellent commercial awareness.
  • A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
