Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Claims Administrator to become a vital part of our team, reporting directly to the Office and Administration Manager.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Possess a solid understanding of claims management within a corporate framework.
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple ongoing claims simultaneously.
  • Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and external legal professionals, insurers, and loss adjusters.
  • Demonstrate relevant experience in technical administration within a specialized field, alongside a good grasp of contract and common law principles.
  • Showcase strong negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills, along with proven experience in supplier management.
  • Hold a degree or equivalent level of commercial and administrative expertise.
  • Communicate proficiently at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial, Administration, Operational, and Delivery teams to compile comprehensive evidence packs supporting claims.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties of the Claims Administrator include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and processing all third-party claims and recoveries.
  • Liaising with the Office and Administration Manager, Commercial Manager, Quantity Surveyors, Operations Manager, and operational staff to ensure all claims are addressed thoroughly.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the financial performance and progress of all third-party claims.
  • Understanding and managing risks associated with claims recovery, including effective communication with insurers and loss adjusters, and seeking expert advice when necessary.
  • Utilizing appropriate claims handling IT systems for efficient claims management.
  • Leading discussions on claims matters with insurers and other external stakeholders.

  • Exemplary organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, necessary for liaising with both internal and external parties.
  • Ability to articulate thoughts clearly and professionally.
  • Meticulous with a keen eye for detail.
  • Possess patience and the ability to maintain composure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable and open to change.

Qualifications:

  • A solid educational background.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively with senior management and departmental leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
