We are seeking a dedicated Claims Administrator to become a vital part of our team, reporting directly to the Office and Administration Manager.
Role Responsibilities:
- Possess a solid understanding of claims management within a corporate framework.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple ongoing claims simultaneously.
- Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and external legal professionals, insurers, and loss adjusters.
- Demonstrate relevant experience in technical administration within a specialized field, alongside a good grasp of contract and common law principles.
- Showcase strong negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills, along with proven experience in supplier management.
- Hold a degree or equivalent level of commercial and administrative expertise.
- Communicate proficiently at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial, Administration, Operational, and Delivery teams to compile comprehensive evidence packs supporting claims.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Claims Administrator include, but are not limited to:
- Managing and processing all third-party claims and recoveries.
- Liaising with the Office and Administration Manager, Commercial Manager, Quantity Surveyors, Operations Manager, and operational staff to ensure all claims are addressed thoroughly.
- Monitoring and reporting on the financial performance and progress of all third-party claims.
- Understanding and managing risks associated with claims recovery, including effective communication with insurers and loss adjusters, and seeking expert advice when necessary.
- Utilizing appropriate claims handling IT systems for efficient claims management.
- Leading discussions on claims matters with insurers and other external stakeholders.

- Exemplary organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication abilities, necessary for liaising with both internal and external parties.
- Ability to articulate thoughts clearly and professionally.
- Meticulous with a keen eye for detail.
- Possess patience and the ability to maintain composure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable and open to change.
Qualifications:
- A solid educational background.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively with senior management and departmental leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
