Assistant Procurement Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our Facilities Management Category Team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies and plans for goods and services to deliver first-class value for the business and protect it from risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies and plans for goods and services within the Facilities Management category team.
- Support the Senior Procurement Manager and the Procurement Manager in the account management of internal customers in the business areas serviced by the category.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategy for the goods and services category to meet internal customers' needs, provide savings, and manage risk.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the procurement team to make the most effective use of resources available across the procurement functions.
- Maintain accurate and complete electronic records.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess and be able to evidence the following skills and experience:
- A background in a supply chain related area, preferably in the FM Category.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to build sourcing strategies and gain buy-in to their implementation.
- Experience of program and change management.
- Studying towards the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) or willing to.
