About the Role

Morgan Hunt is seeking a skilled Female Housing Support Worker to join our client's team on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role with the potential for permanence for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admission and Selection: Collaborate with the Project Leader to ensure the smooth admission and selection of service users.
  • Support and Empowerment: Encourage and assist service users to develop their skills and independence through support plans and regular key-working sessions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members and liaise with staff from other projects to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Building Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep and security of the building, including responsibility for cash and equipment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of all contacts made with service users, including case notes, support plans, and financial records.
  • Health and Safety: Promote the health, safety, and welfare of all service users, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Trauma-Informed Support: Provide support that is trauma-informed and solution-focused, promoting resilience in service users.
  • Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with volunteers, local communities, and external agencies to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
  • Assessment and Planning: Ability to assess need and plan effective support for service users.
  • Community Involvement: Ability to develop service user, volunteer, and community involvement, facilitating group activities and enabling participation.
  • Equality and Diversity: Understanding of equality and diversity issues and ability to address them effectively.
  • Personal Organisation: Demonstrated personal organisational skills, including attendance, timekeeping, planning, and record keeping.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, including record keeping, report writing, and use of IT and social media platforms.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as a team member and inter-agency worker.
  • Continuous Improvement: Willingness to use training, supervision, and feedback to continually improve performance.
  • Risk Management: Ability to manage risk and ensure procedures are followed to mitigate risk.
