Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of a shift, ensuring the highest standard of care is provided to children with complex medical needs.
  • Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower your team in supporting the children they support.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the residential home.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's policies and procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the company's strategic plan.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care or residential childcare.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of current legislation and policies related to childcare and social care.
  • Ability to coordinate a shift and prioritize care needs.
  • Driver's license and ability to drive a minibus.
