MOBILE MECHANICAL ENGINEER

GHA Recruitment Ltd is pleased to present an outstanding opportunity for a skilled Mobile Mechanical Engineer. This position is a full-time, permanent role focused on servicing various contracts across multiple locations.

As a Mobile Mechanical Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to assist in maintaining the operational efficiency and longevity of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Building Services across client sites.

This is a mobile position, and a valid driving license is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment;
  • Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) servicing and repair tasks across different contracts;
  • Respond to callouts during standard working hours and participate in the out-of-hours emergency callout rota;
  • Diagnose issues with systems as they arise;
  • Carry out performance tests using specialized tools and make necessary adjustments;
  • Utilize company-issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clothing;
  • Provide clear and concise service reports and timesheets.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems;
  • Experience with boiler controls, heating and cooling systems, and ventilation;
  • Understanding of Legionella management and overall health and safety regulations;
  • City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications;
  • Proven experience as a mechanical or maintenance engineer;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

What We Offer:

Working hours are typically from 08:00 to 17:00, with a negotiable 40-hour work week;

Competitive salary up to £42,000, depending on experience;

25 days of annual leave (excluding bank holidays);

Pension scheme available after three months of service (3% employer contribution, 5% employee contribution);

Overtime opportunities available but not guaranteed;

Company-issued tablet and phone, along with a uniform;

Company vehicle provided for work purposes.
