About the Role

The HR Generalist will play a vital role in supporting the HR Manager in providing an efficient and effective generalist service within all areas of the employee life cycle for the Oadby Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment law.
  • Offer guidance and support to employees on employment matters, escalating any issues to the HR Manager as necessary.
  • Continuously monitor and review HR policies, implementing changes through the company handbook to ensure alignment with best practices.
  • Take accurate notes during investigation meetings and disciplinary hearings, supporting managers through the disciplinary process.
  • Input staff information and changes into HR management systems, ensuring accurate recording and correspondence to staff.
  • Support the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate information is recorded and input each month.
  • Monitor Absence management for the Oadby Group, advising and supporting managers on the Absence Policy.
  • Develop and deliver management training on relevant HR topics to enhance managers' understanding and development.
  • Support the administration of the annual salary review and bonus letters.
  • Administer Maternity, Paternity, Shared parental Leave, and other company benefits.
Requirements
  • Experience in providing advice and guidance on employee relation issues up to Director level.
  • Proficiency in using a HRIS.
  • CIPD qualified or working towards.
  • Knowledge of employment law.
  • Ability to carry out and support HR projects.
