Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team in Kemble, UK. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing the delivery of our hydrogen powertrain and certification projects. Your expertise will help us achieve our goal of designing and commercializing hydrogen-powered aviation solutions for sub-regional and short-haul commercial flights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive project teams to deliver project objectives, managing internal and external stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Define project schedules, identify and solve risks and issues proactively, and prioritize project resources.
  • Solve problems, eliminate waste, and maximize the impact of the team's work through smart planning and execution.
  • Set the project cadence, including team standups, tasking, and tracking, retrospectives, and communications.
  • Ensure core project management processes are implemented, including budget control, cost analysis, risk management, and change controls.
  • Work with senior management to develop our strategy and develop the team.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment with cross-functional teams, including engineering, testing teams, supply chain, and customer support teams.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and develop pre-emptive strategies to maintain product market leadership.
  • Work closely with management teams to define business objectives and ensure that projects support long-term strategic planning.
Requirements
  • Strong technical background, able to grasp and comprehend engineering issues and fundamentals of new systems, and use this knowledge to make project decisions.
  • Delivery of aerospace complex systems through to certification, demonstrating knowledge of the certification process.
  • Solid experience leading cross-functional teams in a complex engineering environment.
  • Proficient with project planning/management tools, such as MSP and JIRA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, use analytics and data, and find value through drilling into technical and programmatic issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effort, identify the 80:20 in tasks, and multitask.
