Position Overview:
Provide comprehensive support to children and young people impacted by parental substance misuse through various interventions, including group sessions, individual counseling, family-focused strategies, safety planning, and safeguarding measures, while collaborating closely with the family unit to achieve positive and lasting outcomes. Collaborate with other organizations to identify families that would benefit from a holistic, family-centered approach, facilitating their involvement and commitment to the care program. Proactively identify and address potential safeguarding concerns. Work towards minimizing the harm caused by drug and alcohol use to young individuals and the broader community. Assist young people in achieving positive, holistic health outcomes, empowering them to lead safe, healthy, and meaningful lives by reducing risks and enhancing resilience. Adapt to working across various locations as necessary.Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in working with young individuals and a solid understanding of the challenges they encounter. Familiarity with safeguarding issues related to children and young people, including the Fraser Competence framework. Strong knowledge of substance misuse issues and experience in a related field. Understanding of evidence-based practices concerning young people's substance misuse treatment services and relevant best practice guidelines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a high level of proficiency in IT. Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines for information submission and reporting. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative approach to support colleagues in achieving service objectives.Benefits Offered:
