About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Leonardo. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a key role in deploying the quality strategy across our organization and ensuring that our products and services meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Culture Development: Provide leadership and direction to develop and promote a quality culture that aligns with our overall quality strategy.
  • Quality Process Management: Develop and establish quality-process links with customers, both internal and external, and oversee continued compliance and embedding across the organization.
  • Problem Solving and Improvement: Proactively work with stakeholders to support and facilitate problem-solving and continual improvement activities.
  • Quality Techniques and Tools: Develop, reinforce, and support the roll-out of advanced quality techniques based on risk management and focusing on preventing problems from occurring in the first place.
  • Team Leadership: Organize, lead, coach, and develop a team of Quality Engineers to embed quality and deliver quality outputs throughout the project/product life cycle.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and maintain a set of performance KPIs to inform decision-making.
  • Representation and Communication: Attend and contribute to sector, programme, and IPT meetings and represent the Quality Function at senior level in the sector.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in a similar role within an electronics, avionic, automotive, defence, space, or similar advanced manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Good understanding of advanced quality tools, life cycle management, and/or advanced product quality planning (APQP); excellent knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis tools; excellent understanding of AS9100/ISO 9001; experience in quality auditing to AS9100/ISO 9001/DAOS including the Supply Chain is a plus.
  • Personal Qualities: Strategic and solution-oriented thinker; good organizational skills and ability to develop and manage project plans; good interpersonal skills and ability to influence people without authority; experience with coaching and developing people; excellent written and verbal communication; good analytical skills and attention to detail; proficient with IT, particularly MS Office.
