Consultant Adult Psychiatrist with Community

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Central Islington Core Community Mental Health Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing holistic care to patients in a primary care setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and support to Central Islington GPs and other practice staff on the assessment and management of mental health difficulties.
- Assist with diagnosis, formulation, medication reviews, management plans, risk assessments, crisis plans, and self-help plans for patients referred to the team.
- Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders, including GPs, the local authority, primary care staff, patients, and their carers.
The North London Mental Health Partnership aims to offer cutting-edge local, preventative, co-produced, person-centred mental health and wellbeing support to our service users and communities. Our team has introduced new posts, such as Peer Coaches, Population Health Nurses, and Voluntary Sector colleagues, enabling an expansion of the social dimension of care.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with:
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice.
- Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent higher qualification in psychiatry.
Desirable qualifications include being trained as an Educational Supervisor for doctors in training.
