We are currently seeking a dedicated and engaging individual to support a fantastic Secondary SEN School in Winchester. The ideal candidate will be proactive and personable, providing assistance to KS3 and KS4 classes designed for students with special educational needs. The school prioritizes creating a supportive atmosphere that encourages effective learning and personal growth for all students.

Position Overview:

  • Collaborating with the class Teacher (4-8 students per class)
  • Facilitating outdoor excursions and activity days
  • Aligning with the school's mission and core principles
  • Working with students with Autism Spectrum Conditions, complex needs, and behavioral challenges
  • Full-time hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Delivering 1:1 and small group support to help students stay aligned with the curriculum

Qualifications We Seek:

  • Exemplary patience, initiative, and resilience, as this role can be both challenging and fulfilling
  • Prior experience in a SEN educational setting (not essential)
  • Strong relationship-building skills with students
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Requirements for Employment:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • An updated CV accompanied by two relevant references from the past two years
  • A DBS registered with the update service or a willingness to apply for one through our agency
