Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs in a Secondary School setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons to students with SEN needs
  • Assist with outdoor activities and day trips to promote social and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with the school's vision and core values to create a nurturing environment
  • Support students with ASC, complex needs, and challenging behaviors
  • Participate in 1:1 and small group work to ensure students stay on track with the curriculum

Requirements:

  • Patience, proactivity, and resilience to work with students with SEN needs
  • Experience working in a SEN school (not essential)
  • Strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
