We are looking to appoint an Institute Administrator who will assume a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME) within the Department of Engineering Science.
The Administrator will be accountable for the operational, administrative, financial, and logistical functions of the IBME, while also contributing to the achievement of its strategic goals.
The Institute aims to create a premier environment for interdisciplinary biomedical engineering research and to foster collaborations among engineers, clinicians, and biomedical scientists that lead to innovative advancements in diagnostics and therapies.
The successful candidate must be proactive and inventive in ensuring the Institute's sustainability and growth, adept at anticipating and managing changes within the Institute and the broader University context by formulating and executing strategic and operational initiatives.
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, with an expectation of on-site presence for the majority of the workweek.
Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should possess a degree or equivalent experience, demonstrating strong intellectual, analytical, and numerical capabilities.
Experience in a strategic role within a complex organizational environment is essential, along with proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to devise practical and effective solutions.
Experience in resource management, including budgeting and planning within a multifaceted financial landscape, is required, as well as a solid understanding of financial and HR IT systems, particularly experience with systems like Oracle Financials and CORE, complemented by strong Excel proficiency.
