About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified Science Teacher to join our team at the Sir John Colfox Academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science at KS3, KS4, and KS5, with a focus on delivering their specialism up to A Level.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Science to students at KS3, KS4, and KS5
- Deliver their specialism up to A Level, ideally Physics or Chemistry, but Biology specialists are also welcome
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of all students
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Contribute to the development of the Science department and the school's STEM initiatives

The Science department at the Sir John Colfox Academy is a dynamic and supportive team of 6 Science specialist teachers. We offer AQA Separate Sciences and AQA Combined Science Trilogy options at GCSE, and OCR-A Specifications in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics at A Level.
