About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IFS Technical Support Consultant to join our team at Hays Technology. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective support for IFS solutions and products, addressing issues pre- and post-implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customisation and Configuration: Tailor IFS software to meet specific client needs.
  • Client Support: Provide timely support for IFS solutions and products, addressing issues pre- and post-implementation.
  • Upgrades and Maintenance: Assist with upgrades, ensuring smooth operation and resolving performance issues.
  • Client Collaboration: Understand client business processes and provide recommendations for optimal use of IFS software.
  • Training and Documentation: Communicate with clients, offering guidance, training, and best practice documentation.
  • Technology Updates: Stay updated on IFS technology and industry best practices to improve system performance and client satisfaction.
  • Service Desk Management: Monitor and respond to issues, manage faults, and ensure solutions align with SLAs.
  • Reporting: Produce customer reports and attend client meetings to discuss support usage and cases.
  • Record Keeping: Document and track client enquiries and support activities.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Provide feedback to management on common issues and trends for continuous improvement.
Key Skills
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of IFS software, including modules, functionalities, configurations, implementation, customisation, and maintenance. Skills in IFS Configuration, Connectivity, Data Migration, and Reporting (especially Crystal Reporting). Experience in multi-customer support environments and various industries.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to efficiently identify and resolve technical issues with a proactive approach to innovative solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication for explaining technical concepts, conducting training, and creating documentation.
  • Client Management: Experience of managing client relationships, understanding business requirements, and translating them into tailored IFS solutions.
  • Analytical Thinking: The ability to analyse complex business processes and propose appropriate IFS configurations and customisations.
  • Team Collaboration: The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of IFS solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industries like manufacturing, construction, and service management for understanding specific requirements.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest IFS technology developments and industry best practices for implementing cutting-edge solutions and improving client satisfaction.
