Technip Energies UK Operating Centre (UKOC) is a unique engineering contractor that combines the global strength of Technip Energies with a strong local presence in the UK market. We operate across the UK, with expertise to deliver sizeable projects in the UK and abroad. Our focus is directed towards the energy market, including energy transition projects. We operate across the project lifecycle from technology and engineering, through construction, commissioning, operation & maintenance services. Further, UKOC is the project management consultancy centre of excellence for Technip Energies.

Project Engineering Role

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Engineer to work at our office in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise, ideally in one of the engineering disciplines such as piping or process, and a full understanding/experience of the various scopes of projects in all phases, including PMC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guarantee the compliance of Engineering solutions within client requirements, industry standards and Group HSE, engineering processes and best practices.
  • Provide demonstrable knowledge of European, American, and international standards applicable to the petrochemical industry.
  • Ensure execution of the Project Deliverables to meet project scope requirements as laid out in the Project Contract.
  • Develop the Project Engineering Plan and submit for review and input of the Discipline Managers and the Project Manager prior to commencement of project engineering activities.
  • Direct and support the Lead Discipline Engineers in project execution goals and mandates. Ensure quality and governance requirements are included in the schedule and conducted as required.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of scheduled tasks for execution and completion and determine problems or obstructions to progress. Meet with the LDEs to discuss and facilitate solutions to any potential issues. In the event of alternative execution paths, determine and agree the optimum solution.
  • Provide project direction to Design Engineering and Process Engineering LDEs and is responsible for managing development, maintenance, and distribution of engineering budget manhours and schedules.
  • Guarantee the timely processing of budget, schedule change requests, and revisions to approved budget manhours are logged and communicated to the PM and the Client.
  • Coordinate between Technology/Engineering/Process and Project Controls to assure timely delivery and updates to project management tools.
  • Guide Procurement and Construction activities including technical bid evaluations, requisition packages, vendor document reviews, tests/inspections, sub-contracts and disposition of nonconformities.
  • Coordinate with the Project Document Control team concerning procedures and systems required for a project.
